Time with Amma and Ampa

Erin doesn't say the first of each word sometimes. Today Erin and Amanda got to spend the day with Grandma and Grandpa Nef. Amanda had a great time in the hot tub. Erin, well, she's Erin. After being talked into putting on her swimsuit Erin finally put her feet in the water. But a few minutes later Mary Ann averted trouble saving the hot tub from being used for something else.

A couple of weeks ago we went to see Rick finish a 50 miler and the kids had a good time with what else, the swingset. Erin loves swings and she loves to have grandma give her a push. This is one of the happiest times I've ever seen her.

Amanda and School Work

Amanda loves school. Well, not always. She gets bored with it sometimes and tired of doing the same thing over and over again. Recently though she has been working on some school projects that she has done very well with.

She did her first book report for school. She did it on Curious George Goes to the Beach. She put together a poster about the book and drew pictures about it. We were very impressed with her work.

Amanda has also worked on the Reflections Contest. The theme this year is "Wow." Amanda wanted to do a report on her uncle Rick because he runs several marathons and more. We can't keep track of how many marathons he's done this year as well as the 100 mile race he did last year. Amanda put in some pictures of Rick from when she went to watch him finish a 50 miler through the mountains.

Another Family Photo

Nothing really to add here. But since we do not have many family photos its nice to post it somewhere. Some people would be disappointed with the lack of photos and decorations in our house. We have a lot of bare walls and almost no pictures of family. Someone in the photo is usually so stubborn that we don't get many opportunities to all sit together and look in the same direction at the same time. I'll let you guess which one that is.

Halloween Girls

Yes, we're a little behind with keeping up with the blog. We are still up to our necks in paint fumes and battling illnesses. Its been a while since we have downloaded photos off the camera so there's the key purpose to our posting.

The girls had a good time trick or treating and fortunately for me, Erin can't eat chocolate and Amanda doesn't have a huge sweet tooth. All the more junk for me! As every parent has experienced I'm sure, Erin was originally going to be Jesse from Toy Story but got a thing for dresses a couple of weeks earlier. She wanted to wear a dress 24 hours a day for weeks. When Halloween came along she wanted to be like her big sister and be super girly. We ended up with Tinkerbell and Princess Presto. They were very cute. Also, in the pictures is their cousin Sienneh.
